who owns the internet ???

WHO OWNS THE INTERNET ???

This is one such a question which most of us have but no one really questions it.

Is it the internet providers like AIRTEL ,JIO, IDEA..etc who owns the internet???. Do they control the internet??. but this isn't true because if one company stops providing services, there are other companies present.

So, Is it the govt which controls the internet???.  But this is also not true because the govt can at most ristrics the websites or block but it does't have any control over the internet.

So the answer to this question is...

The basic definition of the internet is, It is a bunch of interconnected networks, your mobile, lapton my computer these all are just a part of it, No one own it

The ISPs (Internet Service Provider) like Airtel and Jio they provide us the connection, They just provide us the connection from our devices to thier ISP. Huge no of devices from a perticular region is connected to thier nearest ISPs and forming a network and these ISPs are connected to the ISPs of other countries or other geographical places, the connection between ISP-ISP is so high. these connections of different NETWORKS causes the INTERNET to exist.

So, Can we become our own ISP and connect to the internet directly???

The answer to that question is "YES", but it costs u a huge amount, that is why we have ISPs like JIo and Airtel, they buy the connentions with huge amount of money and provide connections to thier subscribers with a little amount of fee.

The connection between the ISPs which are  directly in contact with each others doesnt cost because of the condition that ,the traffic which is going OUT from ISP is equal to that of the traffic which is comming IN, So the cost is nullified. But if the ISP#1 wants to send packets to ISP#3 but these ISPs are not interconnected  then the ISP#1 has to send this packet with the help of Other ISPs like #ISP2.

Here the ISP#2 doesn't have any benifits for it, in exchanching the packet. So the  this ISP#2 will charge the ISP#1 to do its work. this is how it works. We pay ISPs for the connection and ISPs pay other ISPs which are helping them to transfer packets to the desired ISP. Which can be either delivering the packets to desired ISP or receiving the packets from desired ISP.

~THANK YOU~

stay tuned for more....
